Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use and store the information you provide when using the Just Pledge App.
1. Who we are
The Just Pledge App is operated by Just Group plc (“Just”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Our purpose is to help people take small steps toward positive change — securely and responsibly.
2. What information we collect
When you take part in an event or make a pledge, we may collect:
Your first name and last name
Your selected pledge choice
Your optional personal pledge text
Your consent to allow your pledge to be displayed publicly at the event
We do not collect any unnecessary personal data. You are not required to provide your email address, phone number, or any other identifying details to make a pledge.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
Record and display pledges made during the event
Show live data and anonymised statistics on the event visualisation screen
Analyse and summarise pledges to help us understand trends and engagement
Produce anonymised reports and insights for future events or research
Your information will never be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. How we display your information
If you choose to write a personal pledge, you can decide whether it appears publicly on the event screen by selecting the display consent checkbox in the form.
Only pledges that have been approved for display may appear. We do not show surnames or contact information on screen.
5. How long we keep your data
Your pledge data may be retained securely for research and reporting purposes for up to 12 months after the event, after which it will be anonymised or deleted.
6. Legal basis for processing
We process your data based on your explicit consent under UK data protection law (UK GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details below.
7. Data security
All pledge information is stored securely and only accessible to authorised personnel. We use encryption and secure servers to protect your data against unauthorised access or alteration.
8. Your rights
Under data protection law, you have the right to:
Request a copy of your data
Ask for corrections if any details are inaccurate
